Queue & search

The queue is the heart of the night: who sings, what, in which key and in what order. Open it with the SCA button or the Home key; Backspace opens it with the cursor straight in the search.

Favorites: your track folders

• On the left is the «Favorites» tree. «+» adds a folder, «−» removes the selected one.
• Click a folder (even several) to load its songs into the search. KaraDom remembers the last favorite you used.
• Added or moved files? Right-click the folder → «Update favorite»: KaraDom rereads the disk.
• An unplugged external drive doesn't block startup: its songs simply don't show until you plug it back in.

Adding a singer

• Singer:type the singer's name: KaraDom suggests names already used. Double-clicking the «Singer:» label opens «Add singers to queue» to add many at once (Ctrl+Enter confirms).
• Song (filter):type at least 2 letters of the title or artist. ↓ enters the suggestions, Enter confirms.
• Ton:if the singer wants the track higher or lower, type from −12 to +12. Enter adds it.
• Addthe row goes into the queue.

How KaraDom searches

• More words narrow the search: «vasco sally» finds Vasco Rossi - Sally. You can also separate them with *.
• A word starting with a dot filters the file type: «.mp3», «.kar», «.mp4».
• Suggestions are grouped by type: MP3 tracks first, then videos, then MIDI. Each song shows only once.
• Besides folders, KaraDom searches the track archives (label «[in database]») and, if your license includes them, the online tracks.
• Paste a YouTube link into the field: the song is added and played as a video.

Queue rows

Each row shows Singer, Song and Key, with these buttons:

• ⠿ drag to change the order; ▶ play; 🔄 send the row to the bottom;
• delete the row; add the song to the singer's playlist; open the singer's playlist.
• Click the Key number: change it on the spot. Double-click the row: the song starts.
• Right-click: «📁 Locate file» opens the song's folder.

With the keyboard

• Invio twice on the same row: the song starts.
• ↑ ↓ move the selected row up and down.
• Space puts the row in the «Next» panel.
• Ctrl+1…9 start row 1…9. G sends the first row to the bottom.

Singer turns

KaraDom keeps the rotation: a new singer doesn't go to the very bottom, they join the current round right after the last one who sang. When the queue empties, the round count restarts.
